What a great morning for a race. A little on the cool side to start but warmed up nicely by race time. Lit up the course averaging over 28mph for the first 2.5 miles. I then caught my 2 minute man at the base of the first climb went by him but then like every other hill he ended up passing me near the top. We traded back and forth a couple of times before I lost him through the "s" curves. About the only other eventful thing of the race was the tractor with 2 loose dogs running next to it. Slowed a bit for that. Unfortunately that slowing cost me 3rd place as I found out afterwards I missed it by only 4 tenths of a second. |
