The start was delayed by 45 min due to electrical storms. The course was 4.6 miles long and pancake flat. It contained a few s-curves, and there was negligible wind. There were eight riders in women's open division and a total of over 100 riders in the TT. I thought I had a respectable time (12:01 at 23 mph), but it wasn't decent enough that day. The winner of the women's division, purportedly a student at I.U., did it in 10:54! Holy smokes! |

Thsi was a fast and short TT course. I felt great out the way out and was using my areobars the whole way. But then when I went to turn around my back wheel had a hard time getting traction. I thought woop-tee-do and kept riding like a normal cyclist. Then I got pasted up 1/2 mile to the finish and I though something is not right. I finished hard and looked at my back wheel only to discover it was completly flat again. Oh well what can you do? Next weekend at the monrovia TT I plan to bring duck tape with me while I race! |
