The weather cooperated nicely left before our race started, meanwhile the wind picked up slightly as the race went on.
There were only 1 or 2 really threatening attacks. Indy Hand Center kept a lid on things so it ended up in a sprint.
On the last lap, I grabbed on to an early surge getting into a good position, but when the instigator pulled off, no one took it upon themselves to keep going and we were quickly swallowed up. I fought back from that and came out of the last corner 15 or so back. I made up my places right off the corner and within 10 yards of the line.
The guy who won this race moved up into 2nd on the weeken and I was bumped to 3rd overall. The best way to win the overall is to place consistently in the top 3 of the mass start events.
